You may have noticed on the LAMB site recently we've been trying to determine what is definitively the best Christmas movie, and the topic seems to have spilled over onto the Lambcast as well.

Jay and Richard were joined by Howard, Simon and Todd to tackle the daunting task of taking the list of all the Christmas movies ever made and narrowing it down to just one winner. Who won? Who got banished to the North Pole? You'll have to listen to find out!

Also on tap: a round of Mystery Alaska and some Rants, Raves and Reviews where the Lambcast finally settles this Oscar hosting kerfuffle.

It's that time of year again, holiday season! Which holiday? If you're talking about Meet Me in St. Louis, all of them I guess, but specifically Christmas.

The classic Judy Garland musical has joined the ranks of Die Hard 1 & 2, Batman Returns and Gremlins amidst our file of festive films, and this show is dedicated to it. First time Movie of the Month champion Amanda Kirkham hosted the discussion alongside Jay, Richard and Rebecca, to talk about ketchup-making, trolley-riding and flour-throwing, amongst others.

Also on tap: Rants, Raves and Reviews of the Week, and a far less depressing game than last week!

Part two of our Harry Potter franchise lookback is here, as we make our murky way through the darker half of the series, from Order of the Phoenix to the Deathly Hallows parts one and two!

This time around, Jay is reunited with Richard, and joined by Harry Potter superfans Amanda and Nikhat to despair over Dobby, go la-la over Luna and vehemently vilify Voldemort. Oh, and the best way to enjoy this show is to take a drink every time someone says "in the book".

Also on tap: Rants, Raves and Reviews of the Week and another round of Harry Potter trivia!

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
