It's Lambpardy time again folks!
Returning champion Chris "Tank" Tanski attempted to defend his title against returning former-champion Kai Parker and Lambcast newcomer Jacob Lusk. Did he succeed? Is there a new champion in town? Do we have our first two-time non-consecutive champion? Listen to find out!

Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and a game of Last Lamb Standing.

You may have noticed things have gotten quite Oscar-flavoured around the LAMB recently, and this week that's spilled out onto the Lambcast too as we take a look at who we think is going to win some of the trophies at this coming Sunday's celebration of the 89th Academy Awards.

Jay Cluitt as present but utterly useless as anything other than a host for this feature, but fortunately he was joined by the far more well informed liked of Courtney Small, Shane Slater, Audrey Fox and newcomer Rob to discuss the nominees in the writing, acting, directing and picture categories, as well as some of the other smaller awards that proved at least as interesting to talk about.

Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and a game of Last Lamb Standing.

Part 2 of our Jurassic Park franchise series is here with our commentary of The Lost World: Jurassic Park! Queue up your DVD and listen along as Elwood Jones, DJ Valentine and Jay Cluitt discuss the film, the franchise, and how many times Julianne Moore died in the movie.

We'll continue the franchise coverage next month, but if there are any other films you think we should comment on or that you'd like to be a part of, then get in touch and we will!

I'm not sure what was more unlikely - a humanoid duck named Howard being dragged from his home on a duck-filled planet by a giant space laser, or Howard the Duck winning the Movie of the Month poll, but here we are.

Jay Cluitt was joined by the film's champion, The Vern, as well as Todd Liebenow and Damien Riley to discuss this so-called new breed of hero, and the many, many things wrong with this film.

Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and a game of Last Lamb Standing.

If you've been paying any attention to the LAMB site - or the movie world in general - recently, you'll have noticed we've entered Oscar season, so this week on the Lambcast we're taking a look back at some of the many great (and not-so-great) films to have been awarded that highest of honours, the award for Best Picture, and we're doing this in the best way we know how, with a movie draft!

Joining Jay for the bloodthirsty fun were Nick Rehak, Rebecca Sharp, Howard Casner and Sean Homrig. Find out who prefers Annie Hall to Star Wars, who agrees Shakespeare In Love deserved the award and who hates what more - The Sound Of Music, The Lord Of The Rings or No Country For Old Men.

Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and an Oscar-themed game of Last Lamb Standing.

Apologies to anyone looking forward to the previously-scheduled episode of Lamby-Weds this week, alas once again life got in the way for many of our couples, so in impromptu round of Whatcha Been Watchin' Lately was hastily thrown together instead!

Joining Jay to discuss movies and more were Rebecca Sharp, Richard Kirkham, The Vern and Vern's ScreenTrax co-host Jordan Jeske. We talked about A Dog's Purpose, Bates Motel, Permanent Vacation, Trainspotting 2 and The Lost Weekend.

Also as this is the first show recorded since the Oscar nominations were annoucned, it's pretty easy to guess what overshadowed the Rants and Raves this week. Also on tap: a couple of games of Last Lamb Standing, plus the Lambcast's first (and hopefully last) in-show heckler.

It's time for another edition of Roll You Own Top 5!

Jay Cluitt is joined by Nick Rehak, Lindsay Street, JD Duran and newcomer Darren Bolton to talk about, amongst other things, practical effects, documentaries, talking animals, prison escapes, and of course Nick completing his Muppets trilogy.

Find out what the Citizen Kane of talking animal films, listen as a first-time guest has their heart broken in real time, wonder at whether Lindsay will finally come around on Nick list. All these things and more, only on this week's show!

We've looked back at the best films of 2016, and now it's time to move on with our lives and see what's coming across the cinematic horizon as we highlight our most anticipated movies of the new year.

Jay Cluitt is joined by Jess Manzo, Courtney Small, Zoe Rose Smith and Kristen Lopez to look at what we've got in store in the next twelve months and it should me mentioned just what a potentially great and varied year we have ahead of us, given how little crossover there was between our lists.

Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and a game of Last Lamb Standing.

It seems very fitting that the show upon which we discussed Ex Machina, a film about the testing and issues involved with Artificial Intelligence, was fraught with so many technical difficulties. Dropped guests, lost connections and dying batteries led to one of the more eventful recordings, and that can mean only one thing - more outtakes!

Jay Cluitt was joined by the film's champion, Kristen Lopez, along with Nick Rehak, Sean Homrig and Nikhat Zahra to talk about Alex Garland's recent sci-fi directorial debut, touching on everything from Jay's apparent heartlessness, Nick's inventive swearing vocabulary and Kristen's secret love for Oscar Isaac that she's never mentioned to anyone before, ever.

We have a new feature on the LAMB! 2017 will hopefully see some big changes occurring within the LAMB's paddock, and we're starting off with a new addition to the Lambcast, Lamb Tracks! Basically, they're movie commentaries that'll be released within the Lambcast feed as bonus episodes. We're currently planning on releasing one a month, and we're kicking things off with the greatest film ever made [citation needed], Jurassic Park! In fact, we're doing the whole franchise!

This project is being headed up by Elwood Jones, and he was joined by the LAMB shepherd Jay Cluitt and DJ Valentine for this inaugural show. Sync up your DVD to 4 seconds in and, when Elwood says play, watch along with the guys! Alternatively, just listen to the show, we paint a picture with our words of everything happening anyway.

Next month we'll be covering The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and the rest of the franchise on from there, so if you've got a particular hankering to commentate on any of these films, or you've got a stellar suggestion for something we can talk over in the future, get in touch via the usual channels, or just leave a note in the comments.
